Cancel Talkie AI Subscription on iPhone and Android
Talkie's terms say a Talkie+ subscription can be cancelled only in the store that sold it: Apple ID Subscriptions on iPhone, where the app is listed as Talkie Lab, or Payments and subscriptions in Google Play. Deleting the app cancels nothing, partial months are not refunded, and the data export leaves out your chats. Read from Talkie's own terms, FAQ and account pages.

The short answer: To cancel a Talkie AI subscription, cancel it in the store that charged you. Talkie's own Terms of Service say you can modify or cancel a paid subscription only through the app marketplace where you originally bought it. On iPhone that is Settings, your Apple ID name, Subscriptions, then Talkie. On Android it is the Google Play Store, your profile icon, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, then Talkie. Deleting the app cancels nothing, and Talkie does not refund partial months.
Everything below comes from Talkie's own documents, read on 14 October 2026: its Terms of Service at talkie-ai.com/static/service (marked Updated 4/23/2025), its FAQ, its Export Data, Delete Account and Contact pages, the text its website ships for the subscription screen, and the in-app purchase list on Apple's US App Store listing, where the seller is SUBSUP PTE. LTD. An invented address on talkie-ai.com returned a 404 as a control, so the pages we quote are real documents. We did not cancel a paid Talkie account for this article, so the store screens are described in Apple's and Google's standard wording.
Find out where you paid before you do anything else
Talkie sells Talkie+ through Apple and Google, and the terms say the subscription is processed by the marketplace you bought it from. That one fact decides everything else, because the cancel button lives with whoever is charging you.
Look at the receipt email or the line on your card statement. Apple charges show up as Apple or apple.com/bill. Google charges show up as Google, often with the app name. If you are not sure which account paid, search your mail for "Talkie" and look for the first receipt. When the subscription is on iPhone, look for the name Talkie or Talkie Lab, because the iPhone app is listed in the US App Store as Talkie Lab, AI Playground.
The prices you are stopping, as Apple lists them: $9.99 for one month, $49.99 for one year, and $24.99 a month for Talkie+ Pro. Our Talkie AI subscription and Talkie Plus price breakdown covers what each line includes and why paying monthly costs $69.89 more over a year.
How to cancel Talkie on iPhone
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone, not the Talkie app.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the Talkie subscription. It may show as Talkie or Talkie Lab.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
If Talkie is not in the list, you are almost certainly signed in to a different Apple ID from the one that paid, or the subscription belongs to a family organizer, who has to cancel it from their own device. If the list shows an expiry date instead of a cancel button, the subscription is already cancelled and will simply run to that date.
How to cancel Talkie on Android
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon at the top right.
- Tap Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Talkie.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
The same rule applies: you have to be signed in to the Google account that paid. Talkie's own screens point you here too. The text its website uses for the account page says, in full, "Please manage your subscription in the app."
Charges that did not come through Apple or Google
Talkie's terms describe paid subscriptions only as purchases made within the apps. Its website does sell Gems, the virtual currency Talkie uses for extra regenerations, rewrites and similar features, and those are one-time top-ups rather than a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel on them. If you cannot match a charge to a store receipt or a Gem purchase, contact Talkie directly. Its Contact page gives two routes: the support-ticket channel on its Discord server, or email to [email protected].
Does deleting Talkie cancel the subscription?
No. Removing the app from your phone leaves the subscription billing in Apple's or Google's system. Talkie's terms say renewal fees continue to be billed automatically until cancelled, and that you must cancel before each renewal to avoid the next charge. Cancel first, wait until you see the confirmation, then delete the app if you want to.
What happens after Talkie+ ends
You keep Talkie+ until the end of the period you already paid for. After that, the terms say an unpaid subscription downgrades to Free Use. Talkie's subscription screen warns that you will lose all Talkie+ benefits after cancellation, and the free plan comes back with its limits: a daily chat limit, a daily recall limit, and an energy meter that, once empty, asks you to wait or subscribe to Talkie+ for ad-free use.
Your characters and chats are not deleted by cancelling. Deletion is a separate step, covered below, and it is the one you cannot undo.
Can you get a refund on a Talkie subscription?
Usually not from Talkie. The terms say refunds cannot be claimed for any partial-month subscription period and that fees are non-refundable to the fullest extent permitted by law. Talkie's FAQ says recharges are generally non-refundable, except in cases of system errors or duplicated transactions.
Because Apple or Google took the money, a refund request for a store purchase goes to them. On iPhone that is Apple's Report a Problem page, signed in with the Apple ID that paid. On Android it is the refund request in your Google Play order history. Neither is guaranteed, and a request for a charge you just noticed has a better chance than one for a renewal months ago. If the problem is a double charge or a purchase that never arrived, say so in exactly those words, because that matches the exception in Talkie's own FAQ.
Save what you want before you delete your Talkie account
Cancelling and deleting are different, and people regret mixing them up. Talkie's Export Data page says the export file contains your email address, username, gender and age. Your conversations are not on that list. If there is a chat you want to keep, screenshot it or copy it out before you go further.
The Delete Account page is blunt about the rest. Deactivation permanently deletes all personal information and conversation records tied to the account, they cannot be recovered even if you re-register with the same account, and any Talkie characters you created stay on the platform with the creator shown as "Null".
That last point matters if you built characters for Talkie's creator programme. Its FAQ says creators can earn revenue shares from what users spend on their characters, and deleting the account gives up ownership of them. Settle what you are owed first and keep a record of it; an income tracker that logs every creator payout makes that a one-minute job when tax season comes round.
The 30-day arbitration opt-out most users never see
Section 8 of Talkie's terms sends disputes to binding arbitration under JAMS rules, with the seat in Singapore, and waives class actions. It also lets an individual consumer opt out within 30 days of first agreeing to the terms, by emailing [email protected] with their details and a clear statement that they want to opt out. If you have only just signed up and you care about keeping your right to go to court, that window is short.
If you are leaving Talkie because it forgets you
It is the most common reason, and Talkie's FAQ admits it plainly: AI memory capacity is technically limited, causing older conversations to be forgotten. That is a fair trade on a platform built around millions of community characters, and if browsing them is what you enjoy, Talkie is still a good place to be.
If what you wanted was one companion who remembers your week, Gals.ai is built for that and nothing else. She reads a memory store of what you have told her before every reply, she texts you first in the morning and at night, and messages are never counted. Plans are flat: Hello at $9 a month billed yearly or $12 month to month, Sweetheart at $19 or $24 with unlimited texting, and Soulmate at $39 or $49 with voice calls. No Gems, no energy meter, and you cancel from your own account. Compare it properly on our Talkie AI alternative for one companion who remembers page, or read how to test an AI girlfriend app's long-term memory before you pay anyone for a year.
Cancel Talkie subscription questions
How do I cancel my Talkie AI subscription?
Cancel it in the store that charged you, because Talkie's terms say that is the only place it can be cancelled. On iPhone go to Settings, your name, Subscriptions, then Talkie or Talkie Lab. On Android open Google Play, your profile, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, then Talkie. Do it before the renewal date.
Why can't I find Talkie in my subscriptions?
Usually because you are signed in to a different Apple ID or Google account from the one that paid, or a family organizer pays for it. On iPhone the app is listed as Talkie Lab, so look for that name too. If it still is not there, check whether the charge was a one-time Gem purchase.
Does Talkie give refunds?
Not as a rule. Talkie's terms rule out refunds for partial-month periods, and its FAQ says recharges are generally non-refundable except for system errors or duplicated transactions. Store purchases are refunded, if at all, by Apple or Google, so the request goes through their refund pages.
Will I lose my chats if I cancel Talkie+?
No. Cancelling only ends Talkie+ at the end of the paid period and drops you to the free plan with its daily limits. Deleting your account is what erases conversations, permanently, and Talkie's data export does not include them, so save anything you want first.
How do I contact Talkie support?
Talkie's Contact page lists the support-ticket channel on its Discord server and the email address [email protected]. For anything billed by Apple or Google, start with the store, because it holds the payment.
