Cancel Candy AI Subscription: Refunds and Tokens

The short answer: To cancel a Candy AI subscription, log in at candy.ai, open My Profile, then Settings, and click Unsubscribe at the bottom of the page. That is the only route, because Candy AI has no App Store or Google Play app and bills you directly. Cancelling stops renewals but does not refund anything: refunds need a separate request within 24 hours of payment, with 20 tokens or fewer used. Spend your remaining tokens before the billing period ends, because Candy AI's own terms and help centre disagree on whether you keep them.

Every step and rule below comes from Candy AI's own documents: its Terms of Service, which carry a revision date of 17 August 2026, and its help centre, which we read article by article on 14 September 2026. Each help article has its own updated date, and we give it wherever it matters. Nothing here is taken from a video or a subscription-directory page.

How do I cancel my Candy AI subscription?

Candy AI's help article on cancelling, last updated on 20 July 2026, gives five steps, and they match the cancellation section of its Terms of Service:

1. Log in to your Candy.ai account in a browser, on the email you subscribed with.
2. Open the My Profile menu.
3. Click Settings.
4. Scroll to the bottom, where your subscription details sit next to an Unsubscribe button.
5. Click Unsubscribe and confirm any prompts that follow.

After that, Premium keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged for the next one. Section 10.1 of the terms says exactly that. Your account then drops to the free tier, which allows 5 messages in total across all characters.

If you installed Candy AI on your phone, you did not install an app from a store. Candy AI's help centre says it offers no native iOS or Android app and runs as a progressive web app added to your home screen. So there is nothing to cancel in your Apple or Google account, and removing the icon from your home screen cancels nothing. The Unsubscribe button is the whole process.

If you subscribed on more than one email, which happens more often than people expect with web apps, repeat the steps on each. A subscription belongs to the account, not to you.

Is Candy AI easy to cancel?

The cancellation itself is one button in settings, which is easier than several companion apps. Character.AI, for comparison, sends web subscribers an email link to a separate customer portal, as we set out in our Character AI cancellation guide.

Three things make Candy AI less simple than the button suggests, and all three are in its own documents:

• You cannot pause. A help article updated on 9 June 2026 says pausing is not possible, and points you to cancelling instead.
• You cannot remove your only card while subscribed. A help article updated on 26 August 2026 says you must keep at least one payment method on file while a subscription is active. Cancel first, then remove the card.
• A backup card can be charged. Section 9 of the terms lets you designate a backup payment method, and if a renewal charge to your default method fails, you authorise Candy AI to charge the backup for the same amount. Letting a card expire is not a way to stop the subscription if another card is saved.

Can I get a refund after cancelling Candy AI?

Only if you ask quickly and have barely used the account. Candy AI publishes the rule plainly in section 10.4.1 of its terms and in a help article updated on 7 September 2026.

The help article is blunt about the most common mistake: cancelling your subscription does not automatically issue a refund. If you are inside the window, press Unsubscribe and then email support with the address on your Premium account. The help centre gives [email protected] as the contact.

Two side effects are worth knowing before you ask. Twenty tokens is one fifth of a month's 100-token allowance, so a handful of generated images on day one can end your eligibility well before the 24 hours are up. And under section 10.2, a granted refund cancels the subscription on the spot and revokes remaining tokens at that moment. Filing a chargeback with your card issuer does the same, immediately, at the time it is filed.

What happens to my tokens when I cancel Candy AI?

This is where Candy AI's documents contradict each other, and it is the reason to act before, not after, your period ends.

The help article was updated eight days after the terms were revised, and both were live when we read them on 14 September 2026. We cannot see how Candy AI applies either one to a real account, so we will not tell you which is right. The decision does not need that answer, though. Use your balance before the billing period ends. If the help article is correct, you have lost nothing. If the terms are correct, you have saved the tokens you would have lost. The terms are the contract you accepted at checkout.

Your content is not at risk from cancelling. Both documents agree that chats, images and characters stay on the account for as long as the account exists.

Does deleting my Candy AI account cancel the subscription?

Yes, according to Candy AI. A help article updated on 10 July 2026 says that deleting your account before the renewal date automatically cancels any active subscription. The account deletion itself is in the same Settings page, under a section called Danger Zone.

We still recommend cancelling first and deleting second, for a practical reason. Deletion removes your chats, images and characters permanently, and Candy AI notes it keeps some data for legally required periods anyway. If you cancel first, you can check that the subscription shows as ended, confirm no further charge arrives, and only then delete. If you delete first and a charge still appears, you no longer have an account to look at.

I cancelled Candy AI but I am still being charged

Start by checking what the charge is actually called. Candy AI's help centre says subscription charges appear on card statements as EverAI, the name of its operator, EverAI Limited, which the terms give as a company registered in Malta. People regularly miss the charge, or mistake it for something else, because they are scanning for the word Candy.

Then work through the usual causes in order. A second account on another email is the most common. A charge dated before your cancellation, for the period that was already running, is the second. A renewal pushed to a saved backup card is the third.

If none of those explain it, email [email protected]. Candy AI's own article on charges after account deletion asks for the email address on the account and the last four digits of the card that was charged, so have both ready. If the charges have been running for months and your card statements are PDFs, it is quicker to turn those PDF statements into a spreadsheet and filter for EverAI than to page through them, and a dated list of every charge is exactly what support or your card issuer will ask for.

Should you cancel, or switch Candy AI to the annual plan?

If you are cancelling because the product is not for you, cancel. If you are cancelling because of the bill, check which billing line you are actually on first, because the gap between them is large.

On 14 September 2026, candy.ai/subscriptions offered Premium at $47.88 a year, $26.97 a quarter or $13.99 a month, and the payment step of the same page carried two shorter lines, every two weeks at $9.79 and weekly at $5.60. Over twelve months that weekly line costs $291.20, more than six times the annual plan, for the same subscription. Plan changes, per section 10.3 of the terms, take effect at the start of the next billing cycle, so switching does not refund the period you are in.

What to switch to after cancelling Candy AI

Most people leaving Candy AI are not leaving the category. They are leaving for one of two reasons, and the right next step differs.

If you left because of tokens running out while generating images and video, look for another media-first app and compare its token rules and refund window as carefully as you just read these.
