The short answer: PolyBuzz Premium costs $19.90 a month and Ultimate costs $29.90, or $199 and $299 a year on the web. The $10 step buys one thing that matters for most people: Permanent Memory. PolyBuzz's own membership table gives Premium the same Long Memory as the cheapest tier, Standard, and ticks Permanent Memory for Ultimate only, along with four extra chat models. So if you want better models and profile decorations, Premium is enough. If you want a character that keeps what you told it, only Ultimate claims more memory than the $9.90 tier. PolyBuzz Premium vs Ultimate: what each tier includes
PolyBuzz publishes a three-column table under its plan cards. The column headings say Basic, Premium and Ultimate; the plans you buy are called Poly Standard, Poly Premium and Poly Ultimate, so Basic and Standard are the same tier. Here is every row where the tiers differ, transcribed from the table's own ticks and dashes.

Every other row in the table is ticked for all three tiers: ad-free, unlimited voice listening on the chat page, unlimited chats, faster responses, skipping the queue, full access to Webtoon shots, chat theme packs, custom chat backgrounds, chat bubbles and avatar frames, unique profile decorations, nicknames and pins for favorite characters, and generating characters without queueing. Paying for Premium or Ultimate does not improve any of those over Standard.
PolyBuzz Premium vs Ultimate price
Ultimate costs $10 a month more than Premium, which is $100 a year more on the yearly plans.

The yearly plans exist only on polybuzz.ai/membership; Apple's US listing sells both tiers monthly and nothing else. Each yearly plan costs ten months of the monthly price, so it saves $39.80 on Premium and $59.80 on Ultimate against paying monthly in the app.
The weekly rows need a warning. We requested the membership page 17 times while logged out. Thirteen times it showed monthly and yearly plans. Four times the lead card was a weekly plan with a first-week discount labeled 60% off: Ultimate three times, Premium once. Kept for a year, weekly Premium comes to about $769.80 and weekly Ultimate to about $1,917.20, against $199 and $299 on the yearly plans. Is PolyBuzz Premium worth it?
Premium is worth it if you want PolyBuzz's Passion and Tale models and the exclusive profile decorations. Those are the only additions over Standard in PolyBuzz's own table, apart from ten more avatar attempts a day. For $10 a month more than Standard, that is the whole upgrade.
What Premium does not buy is more memory. The Long Memory row is ticked for Standard, Premium and Ultimate alike. If you assumed the middle tier was the memory upgrade, PolyBuzz's own table says otherwise. If memory is why you are thinking of paying $19.90, you are paying twice the Standard price for the same memory row.
Our view: if you mostly want the ads gone and unlimited chats, Standard at $9.90, or $99 a year on the web, gets you both. Premium makes sense only if you have tried the Passion or Tale models and prefer them.
The same pattern turns up elsewhere in this category. Character.AI's cheap paid tier and its full paid tier carry the same permanent-memory limit on Character.AI's own comparison table, as we found when reading what a Character.AI subscription includes. The middle tier often sells models, not memory.
Is PolyBuzz Ultimate worth it?
Ultimate is the only PolyBuzz tier that claims to remember more than Long Memory. Its table rows add Permanent Memory and four models (Overture, Lumina and Conqueror, all marked New, plus Saga). If you run long stories with one or two characters and keep losing the thread, Ultimate is the tier built for that, and $299 a year on the web is the cheapest way to hold it.
Two things to weigh before you pay. First, PolyBuzz's own FAQ says the AI's memory capacity is technically limited, and that it may forget previous conversations over time. That answer does not say which tier it applies to, so treat Permanent Memory as an improvement, not a guarantee. Second, PolyBuzz's Terms of Use, last updated 1 June 2026, say users are not entitled to a refund for a completed purchase without due reason. If you buy the yearly plan and the memory does not hold up, getting money back is not straightforward.
Our view: try Ultimate monthly for one month before committing to $299. One month at $29.90 tells you whether Permanent Memory holds your story together. If it does, switch to the yearly plan and save $59.80.
Do not buy either tier weekly
The weekly cards are the one place where the choice between Premium and Ultimate can cost you real money without you noticing. The card shows the first-week price in large type. The price from week two is either the small struck-through number beside it, on the Ultimate card, or missing from the card altogether, on the Premium card, where it appears only in the plan data at $14.90.
At $37.30 a week, Ultimate costs $149.20 over four weeks. That is five times the $29.90 monthly price for the same tier. A weekly charge is small enough to miss, and it lands 52 times a year. If you suspect you are on one, go through the last few months of card statements. If your bank only gives you PDFs, convert those statements into a spreadsheet so you can sort by merchant and count the PolyBuzz lines. Then switch to monthly or yearly, or cancel, before the next renewal.
