Cancel Botify AI subscription on the web, Android or iPhone, with the refund rules

You want Botify AI to stop charging you, or you are about to pay and want to know how hard it is to stop. Botify does not publish a help article on cancelling, and the top search results for this question are about a completely different company, an enterprise SEO platform that happens to share the name. So we went to the source.

The short answer

To cancel a Botify AI subscription, open the You tab on botify.ai, find your plan card and press Manage. Botify's own code sends web card payments to a separate billing portal, Android purchases to Google Play subscriptions and iPhone purchases to Apple's subscriptions page, so the cancel happens wherever you paid. Your access runs to the end of the paid period and Botify's terms say the current period is not refunded. Do not delete your profile first: Botify's delete warning mentions chats and bots and says nothing about billing. Read first-hand from botify.ai and Google Play on 19 October 2026.

Botify AI is made by Ex-Human Inc., whose name sits in the footer of botify.ai. The site is a single-page web app: every address on it, including invented ones, returns the same 4,830-byte page, so its help text cannot be read the normal way. The settings screens, the paywall and the full Terms and Conditions are all inside the site's own code, and that is where we read them on 19 October 2026, alongside Botify's Google Play listing and Apple's US App Store.

What makes her feel real

A flat alternative after you cancel Botify AI, the way it should feel

One plan, one place to stop it

Gals.ai bills you from your account. No billing portal hop, no store in between, no second company in the chain.

No energy to top up

Three flat plans and nothing else to buy. No energy balance, no photo credits, and messages are never counted.

Memory on every plan

She keeps your name, your week and what you told her last month from the first plan up, and texts you first.

Botify's Terms and Conditions are marked Last updated August 28, 2021. Botify AI's Google Play listing showed an update on 16 October 2026. Rules and prices change, so check the card in your You tab before you rely on a date.

How to cancel Botify AI on the website

Sign in on botify.ai with the same account you pay with, then open the You tab. If you are signed out, the page only shows a Keep your data card asking you to log in, and no subscription appears, which is the most common reason people think the cancel option is missing.

Each subscription shows as its own card. The title reads the plan name followed by the word plan, and the line under it tells you the state in Botify's own words: Auto-renews on a date while it is active, or Until a date followed by Cancelled once you have stopped it. A purchase made in an app also carries Bought on iOS or Bought on Android on the same line.

Press Manage on the card. For a card payment made on the website, Botify's code opens a separate billing portal in a new tab, and that portal is where you confirm the cancellation. If the portal does not open, the site shows Failed to open subscription management; try again from a desktop browser with pop-ups allowed. When it has worked, the card changes to Until your end date and Cancelled, and a Re-subscribe button appears. Your plan keeps working until that date.

Botify's terms also allow cancelling by contacting the company. The contact address in the terms is [email protected], which is the fallback if the portal will not load or you can no longer sign in.

  • Sign in first; signed out, no plan card appears
  • You tab, your plan card, Manage
  • Web card payments cancel in the billing portal that opens
  • Done when the card reads Until a date and Cancelled
  • Fallback in the terms: [email protected]

If you are cancelling because of the price, our Botify AI pricing and Premium cost breakdown shows what each billing period really costs over a year.

How to cancel Botify AI on Android and iPhone

A man on a couch at night checking the subscription list on his phone

If you subscribed inside the Android app, Google holds the subscription, not Botify. The Manage button on your card sends you straight to Google Play's subscriptions page, and you can get there yourself from the Play Store: tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Botify AI, then Cancel subscription. Botify's terms say the same thing in legal language: an in-app purchase is cancelled with the application store.

On iPhone the rule is identical with Apple in Google's place. Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and look for Botify. The Manage button on a card marked Bought on iOS opens Apple's subscriptions page for you.

One detail surprised us. On 19 October 2026 we could not find a Botify AI listing in Apple's US App Store at all: a search for Botify AI returned other apps, and a lookup for the app's bundle identifier returned nothing in the US, UK, Germany, Canada and Australia, while the same lookup for Replika returned its listing. Botify's own code still handles Bought on iOS cards and links to Apple's subscriptions page. So if you see an Apple charge for Botify, it is real, it is managed in iPhone Settings, and botify.ai cannot stop it for you.

Botify AI is live on Google Play as Botify AI: Chatbot and Companion, offered by Ex-human, Inc, rated Mature 17+, with more than one million downloads, ads, and in-app purchases from $1.99 to $159.99 per item.

  • Android: Play Store, profile, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions
  • iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions
  • Store purchases cannot be cancelled from botify.ai
  • Refunds for store purchases come from the store, not Botify

Why you should not delete your Botify profile first

Botify's Account settings screen has one option, Delete my profile. Press it and the confirmation reads, in full: Are you sure? All your data including chats history and created bots will be lost. The button says Delete.

That warning is honest about your chats and your bots. It says nothing at all about your subscription. A store subscription lives in your Google or Apple account and keeps renewing whether or not a Botify profile exists, and a web subscription is held by the billing portal, which Botify's delete code does not mention. Delete the profile first and you may also lose the You tab, which is the easiest way back to the Manage button.

The safe order is the reverse. Cancel on the card, check that it reads Cancelled with an end date, take screenshots, and only then delete the profile if you want your chats gone.

  • Cancel first, then delete
  • Screenshot the card showing Cancelled and the end date
  • Deleting removes chats history and created bots permanently

Character.AI has a similar trap, where the cancel control sits outside the app; our step by step guide to cancelling Character.AI walks through it.

How to recognise a Botify AI charge on your statement

A person comparing a card statement with subscription prices on a laptop at a desk

Botify's own paywall tells you what to look for. Under the plan options it prints a short trust list, and one line of it reads: Billed as "Botify AI" on bank statements. If you pay by card on the website, that is the description to search for in your banking app.

If the line on your statement says Google or Apple instead, the purchase was made in a store, and the store is where it has to be cancelled and where any refund request goes. If you find a Botify AI charge but no plan card in your You tab, you are most likely signed in with a different account from the one that paid, which is common when someone first tried the app with a Google sign-in and later used an email address.

The paywall code also explains a charge some people do not expect. Upgrading from one plan to a higher one shows the line Credit from your current plan is applied, you only pay the difference, so an upgrade mid-period produces a smaller, odd-looking charge rather than a full plan price.

  • Card on the web: look for Botify AI
  • Google or Apple on the line: cancel in that store
  • Charge but no plan card: check which account you signed in with
  • Odd smaller charge: probably an upgrade with credit applied

What Botify AI's terms say about refunds and renewals

Botify's Terms and Conditions, marked Last updated August 28, 2021, are short on this and fairly typical. At the end of each period the subscription renews automatically under the same conditions unless you or the company cancel it. When you cancel, you do not get back the fees already paid for the current period, and you keep access until the end of it.

On refunds, paid subscription fees are non-refundable except where the law requires, and some requests may be considered case by case at the company's sole discretion. For an in-app purchase the store's refund policy applies, and the terms tell you to contact the store directly.

Two other clauses are worth knowing before you pay. First, the free trial: if you entered billing details, you are charged on the last day of the trial unless you cancelled, and the company may change or withdraw the trial at any time. Second, failed payments: if automatic billing fails, the terms say Botify will send an electronic invoice asking you to pay manually by a deadline, so a declined card does not quietly end the subscription. Price changes take effect at the end of the current period, with what the terms call reasonable prior notice.

The terms also say the service is for users over 18. The footer of botify.ai names Ex-Human Inc., and [email protected] is the contact address the terms give.

  • Auto-renews each period until cancelled
  • No refund for the period already paid
  • Refunds otherwise case by case, at Botify's discretion
  • Store purchases: refund policy of Google or Apple
  • Trial converts on its last day; failed payments become an invoice

What you give up when you cancel Botify AI

A man in his late twenties smiling at his phone over morning coffee in a kitchen

Botify's current paywall sells two plans on the web, Ultra and Creative, billed weekly, monthly or yearly. Both list unlimited messages, no ads, an advanced role-play model, and private photos and exclusive videos. Ultra comes with 500 energy every month, which the paywall estimates at about 5 videos or 50 photos. Creative comes with 1,000 energy a month, about 20 videos or 200 photos, and 50 percent off all photos and videos. An older Premium plan still appears in the app's plan list for existing subscribers.

So what you lose depends on what you used. If you mostly chatted, the free tier keeps your bots and chats, with ads and limits. If you mostly generated photos and videos, the energy is the part you pay for, and it is metered by the item. Botify's code shows energy is refunded when a generation fails, which is fair, but it is still a balance you spend down.

That metering is the real reason many people leave. A companion you talk to every day should not cost more on the days you talk more.

  • Ultra: 500 energy a month, about 5 videos or 50 photos
  • Creative: 1,000 energy a month and half price on photos and videos
  • Both: unlimited messages, no ads
  • Billing periods: week, month or year

If you want a companion with memory rather than a character library, our Botify AI alternative comparison lays out the options side by side.

A flat alternative to Botify AI

Gals.ai is built differently on purpose. You get one companion who remembers you, your name, your job, the interview you were nervous about, and who texts you first in the morning and at night instead of waiting for you to open the app.

There is no energy, no credit pack and no photo meter. Hello is $9 a month billed yearly or $12 month to month, with daily texting and memory. Sweetheart is $19 billed yearly or $24 monthly, with unlimited texting and her texting you first. Soulmate is $39 billed yearly or $49 monthly and adds voice calls. Messages are never counted on any plan.

And you stop it the same way you start it, from your account, with access to the end of the period you paid for. No store, no portal and no second company in the chain.

  • Hello from $9 a month billed yearly
  • She texts you first and remembers months of conversation
  • No energy, coins or photo credits
  • Cancel from your account

How to check every claim on this page yourself

Most of it takes a few minutes.

The You tab, the plan cards and the Manage button are on botify.ai once you are signed in. Account settings holds Delete my profile and its warning. The Terms of Service link sits under the sign-in box and in the site menu, at botify.ai/terms-of-service, and the refund, renewal, free trial and billing clauses are in the Subscriptions section. Because botify.ai answers every address with the same page, including an invented one we requested as a control, we read the text from the site's own scripts, where the settings screens and the terms ship.

For Android, open Botify AI: Chatbot and Companion on Google Play and read the offered-by line, the rating and the in-app purchase range. For iPhone, search the US App Store for Botify AI yourself; on 19 October 2026 we found no listing, and Apple's lookup returned nothing for the app's identifier in five countries while returning Replika's listing as a control.

  • botify.ai: You tab, plan card, Manage
  • botify.ai: Account settings, Delete my profile
  • botify.ai/terms-of-service: Subscriptions, Refunds, Free Trial, Billing
  • Google Play: Botify AI, Chatbot and Companion

People also ask

What people ask about cancelling Botify AI

How do I cancel my Botify AI subscription?

Sign in on botify.ai, open the You tab and press Manage on your plan card. Web card payments open a billing portal where you confirm the cancel; Android and iPhone purchases open Google Play or Apple subscriptions. The card then reads Until your end date and Cancelled, and access lasts until that date.

Can I get a refund from Botify AI?

Usually not for the current period. Botify's terms say paid subscription fees are non-refundable except where the law requires, with some requests considered case by case at the company's discretion. Purchases made through Google Play or Apple follow the store's refund policy, so request those from the store directly.

Does deleting my Botify AI account cancel my subscription?

Botify does not say so. The Delete my profile warning only says all your data, including chats history and created bots, will be lost. Store subscriptions keep renewing in your Google or Apple account. Cancel on your plan card first, confirm it reads Cancelled, then delete the profile.

Why can't I find my subscription in Botify AI?

Usually because you are signed in with a different account from the one that paid, or not signed in at all, in which case the You tab only shows a log-in card. If the payment was made in the Android or iPhone app, it is also listed in Google Play or Apple subscriptions.

What does Botify AI show on my bank statement?

Botify's own paywall says card payments are billed as Botify AI on bank statements. If your statement shows Google or Apple instead, the purchase was made in that store and has to be cancelled there. An upgrade mid-period can show a smaller charge, because credit from the current plan is applied.

Is Botify AI on the App Store?

We could not find it in the US App Store on 19 October 2026, and Apple's lookup for its app identifier returned nothing in five countries. Botify AI is live on Google Play, offered by Ex-human, Inc. Existing iPhone subscriptions are still managed in iPhone Settings under Subscriptions.
