Cancel Janitor AI subscription on the web, iPhone and Android

You want Janitor AI to stop charging you, or you are about to start Janitor+ and want to know how easy it is to stop. The top search results for this question are subscription-tracker pages and a guide about deleting your account, not Janitor AI itself. So we read the source: the Janitor AI help centre article on its subscription, its account deletion article and the Janitor listing on the US App Store.

The short answer

To cancel a Janitor AI subscription, cancel it where you paid. On the website open Settings, choose Billing, then Manage Subscription, which opens the Stripe billing page where you can cancel at any time. If you subscribed in the iPhone or Android app, only the App Store or Google Play can cancel it, and the website cannot. Janitor+ stays active to the end of the paid period, then your account reverts to the free tier. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription. Read from the Janitor AI help centre and the US App Store listing on 29 October 2026.

The short version is that there are two completely separate places a Janitor+ subscription can live, the website and the app stores, and the cancel button for one cannot touch the other. Most failed cancellations come from looking in the wrong place.

How you subscribed Where to cancel What to know
On janitorai.com with a card Settings, Billing, Manage Subscription, then cancel on the Stripe billing page Janitor+ stays active to the end of the current billing period

In the Android app Google Play, profile, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, Janitor Same rule: Google bills it, so Google cancels it
Billing problem or double charge Email [email protected] from the account email address Other issues go to [email protected]
Want a refund Email [email protected] Subscriptions are generally non-refundable except where the Terms or law require it
Gals.ai Your account One place to stop it, no web-or-app guessing

Apple's US listing (seller JanitorAI, INC, age rating 18+) showed Janitor+ Monthly at $12.99 and Janitor+ Annual at $99.00 on 29 October 2026. Apple shows every price the app can charge, not the one you will be offered, and the web price can differ. Screens change, so check your own Billing tab before you rely on a step.

How to cancel Janitor AI on the website

A man on a couch at night checking the subscription list on his phone

If you subscribed on janitorai.com, the steps in the Janitor AI help centre are short. Sign in, go to your settings, select Billing, then select Manage Subscription. You are redirected to a Stripe billing page, and that is where you cancel. The help centre says you can cancel anytime.

Cancelling does not end Janitor+ on the spot. The article states that your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, and after that your account automatically reverts to the free tier. So if you cancel on day three of a month you already paid for, you keep the larger context and priority replies for the rest of that month.

Janitor AI says it never sees or stores your card details, because payments are handled by Stripe. That also means the card on the billing page is the card you used, so if you cannot find a subscription there, you may have paid through an app store instead.

  • Settings, then Billing
  • Manage Subscription opens the Stripe billing page
  • Cancel anytime there
  • Janitor+ runs to the end of the paid period, then the free tier

How to cancel Janitor AI on iPhone and Android

A phone on a desk showing a renewal date reminder next to a coffee mug

If you subscribed inside the Janitor app, the store holds the subscription and the Janitor website cannot cancel it. The help centre is explicit: app-based subscriptions cannot be cancelled from the web.

On an iPhone or iPad open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Janitor and tap Cancel Subscription. On Android open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose Janitor and cancel. In both stores you keep Janitor+ until the date the store shows you.

If Janitor is not listed under Subscriptions, check the other Apple ID or Google account on the phone, and check your email for a receipt from Apple, Google or Stripe. The sender tells you which system bills you.

  • Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Janitor
  • Play Store, profile, Payments and subscriptions
  • The website cannot cancel an app subscription
  • Check the receipt sender to find out who bills you

If you are cancelling because the character browser was the wrong fit, our Janitor AI alternative comparison sets the options side by side on memory and price.

Deleting your Janitor AI account does not cancel a store subscription

The Janitor AI account deletion article says to open Settings, then the Security tab, scroll to the bottom and click Delete account. You receive a six digit one time code by email and must enter it to finish. Support cannot delete accounts on your behalf, and if you no longer have access to the email address on the account, they cannot help. The article warns that deletion is permanent: posts, characters, personas and profile information cannot be recovered.

The article says nothing about billing. A card subscription is managed in Billing and an app subscription lives with Apple or Google, and an account that no longer exists is not a reason for either of them to stop charging. The safe order is the same as on every platform: cancel the subscription first, confirm the end date, and only then delete the account if you still want to.

  • Delete account: Settings, Security tab, bottom of the page
  • A six digit code goes to your account email
  • Deletion is permanent and support cannot do it for you
  • Cancel first, delete second

What Janitor+ costs and what you lose when you cancel

The US App Store listing for Janitor showed two in-app purchases on 29 October 2026: Janitor+ Monthly at $12.99 and Janitor+ Annual at $99.00. Paying monthly for a year comes to $155.88, so the annual plan is $56.88 cheaper over twelve months if you will really stay that long. The web price is billed through Stripe and we could not read it, because the Janitor website blocked our request, so treat the app prices as the app prices only.

The help centre lists what Janitor+ adds on top of the free tier: five times more context for better memory, priority access for faster replies, monthly swipes with the best models, a golden username and checkmark, and comment react emojis. The free tier keeps unlimited chats with millions of bots, standard chat models and a context limit of around 9k tokens, and Janitor AI says it will always keep a free option available.

So cancelling costs you the bigger memory window and the priority queue, not your characters or your chats.

  • Janitor+ Monthly $12.99 on Apple
  • Janitor+ Annual $99.00 on Apple
  • Monthly for a year is $155.88
  • You lose 5x context and priority replies, not your chats

To compare those numbers with the rest of the market, our yearly cost comparison of AI girlfriend apps puts the main subscriptions on one table.

Refunds and billing problems with Janitor AI

The help centre says subscriptions are generally non-refundable, except where required by the Terms of Service or applicable law. If you believe there is an issue with your subscription, such as a charge after you cancelled, write to [email protected] and include the email address associated with your account so they can locate it. Questions unrelated to billing go to [email protected].

If Apple or Google billed you, the store decides on refunds, not Janitor AI. Apple handles requests at reportaproblem.apple.com and Google through your Play order history. Whichever route you take, write rather than call, and keep a screenshot of the charge and the cancellation confirmation.

A flat alternative to Janitor+

A man smiling at a good-morning text on his phone in a sunny kitchen

Janitor AI is a browser for a huge library of community characters, and Janitor+ is mostly a bigger memory window and a faster queue for that library. Gals.ai is built for a different kind of evening: one companion who remembers you, your name, your job, the interview you were nervous about, and who texts you first in the morning and at night instead of waiting for you to open the app.

The pricing is the opposite of juggling a web plan and an app plan. Three flat plans, Hello from $9 a month billed yearly, Sweetheart with voice notes, Soulmate with voice calls. No context tiers, no separate store subscription. You cancel from your account in one step and keep access to the end of the period you paid for.

  • Hello from $9 a month billed yearly
  • She texts you first and remembers months of conversation
  • No context tiers and no store subscription
  • Cancel from your account in one step

How to check every claim on this page yourself

It takes a few minutes. The subscription steps are in the Janitor AI help centre FAQ article called Subscription Janitorai+, and the deletion steps are in the article How do I delete my account. The Apple prices are in the In-App Purchases section of the Janitor listing on the US App Store, next to the seller name JanitorAI, INC and the 18+ age rating. We checked that the help centre returns a 404 for an invented page, so the articles we cite are real pages and not a catch-all. Screens change, so check your own Billing tab before you act.

How do I cancel my Janitor AI subscription?

Cancel it where you paid. On the website: Settings, Billing, Manage Subscription, then cancel on the Stripe billing page. Does deleting my Janitor AI account cancel my subscription?
